Emaar Misr’s current pages do not state a total land area, and published figures disagree, from 4 million to 5.4 million sqm. Government land records compiled by the urban observatory Marsad Omran put the holding at more than 1,000 feddans, which makes it Emaar Misr’s largest single Cairo development in that dataset. Is Uptown Cairo a city inside a city?

In daily practice, yes. Uptown Cairo combines gated residential villages with sport, schooling, worship and daily retail inside one perimeter. Emaar Misr’s current brochure and website list the following:

• Walking and cycling trails, parks and water features across elevated terrain.

The gaps matter as much as the list. Emaar Misr’s Uptown Cairo materials do not mention a hospital or an office park inside the community, so buyers who need either should check the surrounding districts.

Uptown Cairo is organised into named villages, each with its own product. The range runs from studios at Golf Vistas to standalone villas at Golf Mansions, which Emaar Misr markets as the final collection with golf views.
